The ultimate goal of Kairos is to build a Christian community inside the prison and to encourage them to pray and fellowship which each other and meet together weekly with volunteers. This is the heart of Kairos. Prisoners are often lost in darkness, and we have an opportunity to show them the light of Christ’s love and forgiveness. Then we ask them to forgive others, and most importantly, themselves. They have a new friend and new hope in Jesus Christ, if they choose to allow Him.
We’re headed to Chicago to work with Center for Student Missions this summer! CSM is a short-term mission organization that provides trips into ten different urban centers throughout the United States. CSM partners with indigenous ministries and places full-time, year-round staff in each city. This is our 5th year with CSM and we're excited to return. Also a great opportunity for parents to serve alongside students!
