Giving at Maryland Community Church
Are you “ALL IN”? It’s not about money; it’s about your heart! Where is your heart when it comes to giving back to God? This is a message from Scot Longyear, Interim Senior Pastor explaining giving from a biblical perspective.
Mathew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Leviticus 27:30 A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the LORD; it is holy to the LORD.
Proverbs 3:9-10 Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops: then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.
1 Timothy 6:17-19 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do go, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.
How can I give?
Cash or Checks
Mail or deposit in offering plate or basket on Sunday. Another option is to place your offering in the depository (see slot in the mallway near the office door).
Auto-Draw
This option allows Maryland Community Church to automatically withdraw your specified dollar amount from your account either weekly or monthly. No worry that you may forget.
Online Giving
We now have online giving available. If you have MCC giving envelopes with a number and you submit your name with your online gift, then your online giving will be listed on your monthly statement and your end of year tax statement. If you do not have an assigned number, and would like a statement for tax purposes, please contact Carolyn Dohner, cdohner@mccth.org or 234-7100 ext. 206. Donations without giving numbers will not be recorded by Maryland Community Church, so we will not be able to provide a statement for tax purposes.

If you need a year-end statement for tax purposes, Maryland Community church uses numbered offering envelopes to track individual giving. The IRS no longer accepts deductions for certain types of giving without a receipt (statement) from the organization. If you would like offering envelopes to use for your giving and receive a year-end statement, or if you have questions, call Carolyn (234-7100 x206).
