HAITI 2012: A MISSION TEAM FROM MCC will travel to Cap-Haitien, Haiti July 2 for a nine day mission trip. The trip will include conducting a VBS for over 1,000 children and performing construction activities at a Haitian church. Construction needs are block laying, electrical tasks and painting. If you are looking for a cross-cultural experience whereby you will work, witness, share and worship alongside the people of Haiti, and to put hands together for the advancement of God’s Kingdom, this may be for you! MCC 101 CLASS: Thursday, February 23 at 6:30 pm in the Green Room  Honnalora Hubbard will be teaching on “Prayer & Fasting.” This is a great class on one of our core values here at MCC. Also, mark your calendar for Thursday, March 1 & 8 as one of our Elders, Mick Adams, teaches on “Spiritual Gifts.”

CONGREGATIONAL BUSINESS MEETING & UPDATE: The meeting will be held on Monday, February 27 at 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary to review the Annual Report and get informed about some upcoming changes for MCC.  The Annual Report will be available at the Information Center on February 19 & 26.

“PROJECT 456 ” ELEMENTARY LOCK-IN: All 4th-6th GRADE STUDENTS are invited to the “Project 456 Elementary Lock-In” beginning Friday, March 2 at 6:30 pm and ending Saturday, March 3 at 9 am at MCC! CHIX ONE DAY RETREAT 2012: Saturday, March 17 at MCC:  Longing for time to slow down, wiggle your toes in the sand and bask in the warmth of God’s presence? Join us at Seaside Escape! It’s a beach-themed retreat where you’ll experience meaningful Bible study, worship, connection with other women and enjoy plenty of laughter. Our speakers this year will be Roberta Adams, Roxie Bertsch and Roxi McLeod with Becky Price leading worship. Cost is $20 with registration beginning on Sunday, February 19. MCC COMMUNITY GARDEN WORK DAY: A work day is planned to prepare some ground for the MCC Community Garden on Saturday, March 17 at 10:30 am. We will be cleaning and preparing the land, as well as the shed for use this summer. We need man power, but also when you come please bring any rakes, shovels, wheel barrows available to you. PYK (Parents of Young Kids) GYM DAYS: The PYK group meets at the church in the gym on Tuesdays from 10:30 – 11:30 am. This is great for anyone wanting to chat with other moms and let their kids run around and play!

BINGO NIGHT AT SOUTHWOOD:  February 20.  Join us on the third Monday of each month at 7:15 pm at Southwood Health & Rehabilitation Center (2222 E Margaret Avenue).  Come and spend time with some of the residents while they play Bingo.  This is an outreach for anyone interested.  Information sheets can be found at the Welcome Center.  Questions?  Contact Michele Topolosek at michele_topp@yahoo.
