ATTENTION PARENTS AND HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES OF MCC:  The church would like to join in the celebration of your achievements and acknowledge them to the entire congregation. CHARITABLE GIFTING STRATEGIES:  Thursday, May 31 at 6:30 pm in Student Ministries Area. Learn the various strategies for gifting to MCC. Gifting represents the opportunity to transfer assets during your lifetime and potentially reduce your taxable estate. Enjoy the benefit of seeing your gift in action, and you may also benefit from tax advantages. Presented by Vince Milnes, CFP, and Adam English, CPA.

HENRYVILLE TRIP:  A Henryville ROC (Rebuilding Our Community) Trip is scheduled for July 9-13. This is a work trip to aid in the relief efforts of rebuilding Henryville. This trip only costs $50 for the 3 days onsite. This will be one of a number of trips to Henryville. MCC 101:  Thursdays at 6:30 pm. These classes are an introduction to MCC and are designed to explain who and what our church is about. Classes being offered are:  Worship (May 17), Spiritual Relationships & Spiritual Gifts (May 24), Serving & Generosity (May 24). Classes are Thursdays at 6:30 pm in Conference Room B. SIDEWALK PROPHETS/JOSH WILSON TOUR: Saturday, May 19 at 7pm. The Sidewalk Prophets & Josh Wilson tour will be in concert at MCC on Saturday, May 19 at 7pm. Tickets are available online at mccth.org and in the church office during regular business hours, all general admission, $12 now, $15.50 at the door. Justin Hoeppner will be opening the event. “FORE THE KIDZ” FUNDRAISER:  Friday, May 18. “Fore the Kidz” is a golf fundraiser held at the Terre Haute Country Club on Friday, May 18 for COMMUNITY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL (more info at the Information Center). A table is also available this SUNDAY, MAY 13 to make a financial contribution.

CRISIS PREGNANCY CENTER BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGN:  Pick up a BABY BOTTLE at the table in the atrium this Sunday, May 13 and fill it with change, cash or a check and bring it back on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 17. For more information contact the CPC at 234-8059.

BINGO NIGHT AT SOUTHWOOD:  May 21.  Join us on the third Monday of each month at 7:15 pm at Southwood Health & Rehabilitation Center (2222 E Margaret Avenue).  Come and spend time with some of the residents while they play Bingo.  This is an outreach for anyone interested.  Information sheets can be found at the Welcome Center.  Questions?  Contact Michele Topolosek at michele_topp@yahoo.

PARENT MEETING:  Sunday, May 20 at 4:30 pm. If you’re the parent of a student entering Middle School in the fall we would like to encourage you to attend the PARENT MEETING on Sunday, May 20 at 4:30 pm in the Middle School Room. This is an informal meeting where you can connect with other parents, learn about upcoming events and camp info and ask questions about Student Ministries to Rob Ball, our Student Ministries Pastor. CONSTRUCTION MANPOWER NEEDED: MCC has partnered with Servants at Work (SAW) to help build wheelchair ramps for people in our area who are stuck in their homes. We are looking for people that enjoy building that would be interested in helping with ramp projects during the summer. READY FOR SKY HIGH ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME! EMMAUS GATHERING:  This year’s Emmaus Gathering will take place at Maryland Community Church on Friday, May 18 at 6:30 pm.

ULTIMATE FRISBEE: Spring is back and so is ULTIMATE FRISBEE for the 5th straight year starting on Monday evenings at 6 pm at Terre Haute’s Brittlebank Park (20th & Grant St). PYK (Parents of Young Kids) GYM DAYS: The PYK group meets at the church in the gym on Tuesdays from 10:30 – 11:30 am. This is great for anyone wanting to chat with other moms and let their kids run around and play!

YOUVERSION:  For those of you with an iPhone, Blackberry, or Android phone be sure and download the YouVersion Bible App. Not only will you have a great Bible app for your phone, you can get access to “Live Events”. YouVersion Live gives you a way to interact with Maryland Community Church services. You can follow along with the message, take notes, and even submit prayer requests. Check it out!

CONNEXION PARTY:  Saturday, May 12 at 2 pm. Connexion will be hosting a party for all YOUNG ADULTS from MCC on Saturday, May 12 at 2 pm at Deming Park Delta Shelter. We will be hanging out, playing games and, of course, eating some food! We love to meet new people, so if you haven’t been to an event before, this is a great place to get involved.
