Family Dedication

May 15

Family Dedication

Family Dedication gives parents the opportunity to profess their desire to guide their kids (of any age) in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and partner with the church in doing so. We are your witnesses, but we are also your partner because developing an authentic faith takes more than your family. It takes a church.

So, whether your child is 6 months old, 6 years old, or in the 6th grade, we believe it is never too late for a family to dedicate their children. If your family is new to MCC or you desire to take a step closer to Christ for the first time as a family, join us on Sunday, May 21st to publicly express your commitment to raising your children in a home that honors Christ.

Membership Class

At it’s core we believe the membership at a local church should mean something. Here we view it as a responsibility, not a reward. By becoming a member you are essentially saying, “I not only agree with what this congregation stands for, but I want to play an active role in living it out with the people of this church.” We offer a membership class seasonally as a next step toward membership at Maryland. Childcare will be provided for this class, but your children must be pre-registered for the childcare to be accepted. For more questions please contact Nick Strobel at nicks@mccth.org. Community Garden

Ready to get your hands dirty and start a garden?
[And, possibly also make some new friends?]

Our hope is that the community garden can be used as a tool to attract some of our neighbors; people who may not yet have a relationship with the Lord. Help us encourage others you know to participate in the garden, and they are one step closer to accepting an invitation to visit our services and hear the Word.

We want the seeds we plant to produce more than vegetables!

Whether you want to garden yourself, or be a mentor to help others with their garden, stop by the table in the atrium at the HWY 46 campus or contact Mike Stoehr at m_stoehr@yahoo.com, or call 217-826-5171.

5th Sunday Offering

Every 5th Sunday we offer a chance to give toward the mortgage of the facility at the HWY 46 campus. All donations are applied directly to the principle and help us toward paying off the remaining debt.

This is how it will work during services on January 29th. The offering plates will be passed around twice. The FIRST time will be for all our general tithes and offerings. Then the plates will come around a second time for those who wish to give toward our 5th Sunday offering.

If you normally give your offering online you can also participate in the 5th Sunday offering online. Under the Give tab, here at mccth.org [either with or without an account] you can opt to select '5th Sunday' from the pull down tab, instead of General Fund 1 as the direction you want your funds to be applied.

Feb 19

For the Kids Fundraiser

MCC is doing one major fundraiser for mission teams serving children this year. This will cut down on the many different fundraising events you may have gotten used to.

The Missions Teams serving children in other countries spend about $60,000 each year on food, clothing, education and medical supplies in our four major outreaches; Ecuador, Haiti, Nicaragua and Guatemala.

In order to help our mission teams serve in His Cause more effectively, we will be taking one major offering on February 19th to help cover those costs outside of regular travel expenses. You will be able to start donating beginning February 5th.

Be in prayer about how you or your family can help in this great cause. Some families may be able to give a love offering of $50 or a $100 above their regular tithe to help defray these expenses. Some of you may be able to give much more!

There are nearly 1,990 households in our fellowship. By getting all of us involved in this great Cause of investing in children we can sure make a huge impact for the Kingdom of God. Begin praying and planning how you can do your part.

For more information please contact Vince McFarland at vincem@mccth.org.
