A little about Scott…
Started working at MCC: 2007
Favorite Scripture Verse: Galatians 5:1
Favorite Movies: Ocean’s Eleven, Back to the Future I, II & III, The Last Starfighter, Avatar, Inception, Karate Kid (original w/Ralph Macchio)
Favorite Books: Crazy Love by Francis Chan, Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller, Pirate Latitudes by Michael Crichton
Favorite Music: Honestly? Jazz and early 90′s hip-hop/r&b. But I also like Third Day, (early) Jars of Clay, some country music, and the occasional monster ballad
Most Embarrassing Moment: While at a basketball game I accidently spit my gum out into the hair of the girl sitting in front of me. How do you even explain that? “I’m sorry. I temporarily forgot how to chew gum?”
My journey with Christ: I grew up attending MCC, and was baptized in junior high. Growing up in a home with parents who genuinely followed Christ, I guess it always seemed like a no-brainer. Like everyone, I’ve had various trials that have tested my faith, but have found no substitute for the freedom found in following Christ. Jesus is what drives me to do what I do each day.
Favorite Food: A half chicken from Rick’s Barbeque. There’s nothing like it.
Dream Vacation: Visit the set of a major motion pictures being filmed. I know, I’m a nerd.
When I grow up I want to be: A film director
If I were a super hero my super power would be: Run at the speed of sound with instant acceleration. There would be a sonic boom every time I get up to leave the room.
What are your hobbies/interests: Basketball, photography, learning new stuff, Sonic strawberry cream slush, watching TV series that will likely get cancelled, and hanging with Bethany (wife) & Kate (daughter). I’m also a rare NBA fanatic
