SATELLITE CAMPUS PREVIEW SERVICE: Sunday, November 2 at 10:30 am  For the past three years, the leadership at Maryland has been praying about expanding our main campus into different locations…think MCC but in a different location. Several months ago we were approached by the leaders of Maplewood Christian Church (located at 2000 N 13th St. in Terre Haute) to consider acquiring them as a Maryland satellite. Currently the leadership of both Maryland and Maplewood are exploring the possibility and asking, “Is God leading us to do this?” As part of the exploration process we will have a preview service at Maplewood on Sunday, November 2 at 10:30 am. We would welcome your prayers in the exploration.

COLLEGE-AGE LUNCH AT STEINER’S: The college crew will be meeting up on Sunday, November 2 right after the 11 AM service (approximately 12:30 pm). BINGO NIGHT AT SOUTHWOOD: Monday, October 20  Join us on the third Monday of each month at 7 pm at Southwood Health & Rehabilitation Center (2222 E Margaret Ave.). KAIROS: The fall meeting for the Kairos Prison Ministry is scheduled for Thursday, October 23. They will meet with 42 selected offenders at Putnamville Correctional Facility for a 4 day weekend. The ministry is a very dynamic program where Christ’s love is shared with good music, carefully coordinated talks and home cooked meals. To graduate from this course, they have to participate. By the end of the weekend many lives are changed with a desire to continue their personal growth by attending Prayer and Share weekly. You can participate by signing up for the Prayer Chain, to bake cookies, decorate place mats, and if you wish, we can arrange for you to attend the closing ceremonies on Sunday, October 26. MCC STUDENTS BREAKAWAY RETREAT: October 24-25  Home-based youth retreat with fun-filled activities designed to encourage a student’s spiritual walk. Our focus for the weekend is that students come away with a deeper passion for worship, discipleship and service! HOST HOMES NEEDED: MCC Students is looking for families to host a small group of students and leaders overnight on Friday, October 24 during the Breakaway Retreat. Being a host is one of our biggest needs for the weekend from parents! It means helping in 3 ways; giving the group a place to sleep, serving breakfast in the morning, and showing radical hospitality. HELP FEED THE HUNGRY IN THE WABASH VALLEY: Check out the Bag Hunger station in the Cause Corner each Sunday to donate food to the local 14th & Chestnut Food pantry. Summer is a time where food pantries often need the most help, as donations are low and kids are out of school. To participate in Bag Hunger, all you need to do is take a plastic bag from the Cause Corner, purchase the items on the list provided on the bag and bring it back the next time you are at church.
